Weight difference between barrels

Looking to build a .338 lapua for hunting purposes and would like to keep the barrel around 26-27". Is the weight much of a difference between a carbon wrapped barrel and a steel barrel with flutes? What is an optimum contour for this caliber if steel is deemed more appropriate? Thx for the help
