UPS and FedEx both have the same policy, mostly impossible to ship firearms unless through an ffl with an account on file with them. But, USPS will ship rifles, no questions asked, handguns have a different policy
UPS has officially stopped shipping guns?

Well go ahead and ship illegally. On another board 1911 Addicts a person did this and the firearm disappeared. UPS said too bad.
We have a lot of folks here who are shall we say "misinformed" and put themselves in harm's way just because of ignorance and arrogance.
A little reading for the ignorant.
18 U.S. Code § 922 - Unlawful acts
"(e)
It shall be unlawful for any person knowingly to deliver or cause to be delivered to any common or contract carrier for transportation or shipment in interstate or foreign commerce, to persons other than licensed importers, licensed manufacturers, licensed dealers, or licensed collectors, any package or other container in which there is any firearm or ammunition without written notice to the carrier that such firearm or ammunition is being transported or shipped; except that any passenger who owns or legally possesses a firearm or ammunition being transported aboard any common or contract carrier for movement with the passenger in interstate or foreign commerce may deliver said firearm or ammunition into the custody of the pilot, captain, conductor or operator of such common or contract carrier for the duration of the trip without violating any of the provisions of this chapter. No common or contract carrier shall require or cause any label, tag, or other written notice to be placed on the outside of any package, luggage, or other container that such package, luggage, or other container contains a firearm.

It shall be unlawful for any common or contract carrier to transport or deliver in interstate or foreign commerce any firearm or ammunition with knowledge or reasonable cause to believe that the shipment, transportation, or receipt thereof would be in violation of the provisions of this chapter.

It shall be unlawful for any common or contract carrier to deliver in interstate or foreign commerce any firearm without obtaining written acknowledgement of receipt from the recipient of the package or other container in which there is a firearm.

This mentality is how people get loaded on train cars.
Yep- tried sending a trigger back to vendor I bought from- and UPS- major hub- would not ship. Went to post office, no problem.

This is a UPS policy and has been in place for around two months. You can't even ship stocks or barrel blanks now. Nothing has changed with regard to UPS reimbursing for lost or damaged packages either. Shipping insurance is a scam.

My UPS is different. I just got 3 chassis stocks and 4 blanks in 10 min ago.

I shipped out two tins of ammunition, totaling 2160 rounds through ups last month with no issues, firearms are a different issue, I didn't realize how easy it was to go through usps. As long as the feds don't get a stick up their butt and change the rules there, we're still in business

Try walking into a UPS depot with a long box and get back to us.
Maybe not actively "enforced" in your area yet. I thought I was going to get local law enforcement called on me.

"Firearm Part" is any part or component of a Firearm that does not by itself meet the definition of a "Firearm." By way of example only, Firearm Parts include, but are not limited to, barrels, stocks, grips, firing pins, sights, and magazines/clips.
"Firearm Products" means Firearms and Firearm Parts. The term Firearm Product does not include scopes.

Got to love people who have no idea.
The law is the law no matter how much you do not like it. When shipping and when your firearm disappears because you marked it "machine parts" the chuckling you hear will be me.
