I see Tikka 243 chambering is 8 twist. I would think a 6mm Creed would be designed to shoot the long heavy bullets with more efficiency. I realistically wouldn't shoot past 600 yards anyway for steel or coyotes. The factory clip would limit bullet seating I would think. Anyone have any experience trying to maximize this factory barrel?

No experience with Tikka 8 twist but it should prove useful for those loading long copper bullets in the 90 to 100 grain weight. I wish my Sako .243 had a twist faster than 10. Heck I'd love a 9 twist.

Might just be as simple as they ordering/making 6mm barrels in an 8 twist instead of 10.25 now because that's what the market has moved towards, so they're using the same blanks in two or more chamberings. (6 Creed and 243 Win).

IMO no downside to an 8 twist 243 Win, even with lighter bullets.

I have one. So far it shoots like my shotgun with 105's and 112's. I have 3 more bullets on the way to try.
