You know someone in Tennessee game and fish? 14 tags is slim chance!
The only good news is with a Sportsman license it does not cost anything to apply. Figure I have a 1 in a few hundred thousand chance of drawing, but at least I have a chance.

Where are the hunts held?
Anyone interested, there are Ibex inside the choccolocco wildlife management area in Cleburne co. Ala. They escaped from a game farm and have been breeding for a couple of years. Know of someone who has taken two big males. Believe it has to be in deer season for you to hunt them though. Its in the archery area.

Usually only about 50 bull elk tags and 150 cow here in Pa. I'm guessing I probably won't draw but that's ok I'll be going to Colorado this year.

I look at my MI elk application as donation for the program. If I ever a call I drew one, wife will have to get me off floor!
If any of you get drawn for an elk tag in your state, give me a call and I will help you drag it out of the woods.

I will make sure I have at least 1,000' of rope for CanAm.
When I was stationed in West TN, the elk tags were like unicorns. Everybody knows what they are, but nobody had ever seen oneā¦
I forget how many tags they had a couple of years ago, but I feel like 14 is an improvement. Good luck!

Well I'm highly disappointed that I was unsuccessful in the draw this year. Who knows, maybe they will issue 15 next year.
