I've been buying 700 and Savage actions for a while at pawn shops or the lgs. To do a couple at home builds. Just wanted to see what others have done. With the Remage style builds and the Savage platform. Thinking of building a couple 300prc and a fast twist 25-06.

Here's a couple I've done. I think they both shoot better than I do.

6.5 CM with a 24" Shilen barrel, Vortex scope, in a Savage OEM Boyds stock.

6BR with a 26" Criterion, Trijicon Tenmile scope, in a McMillan stock.

Here's a couple Savages I did a while back. First is a Savage in 6.5 Creedmoor with a Shilen barrel, B&C stock, custom Cerakote and a Sightron scope. The second Savage is a .300 Win Mag with a Criterion barrel (match chamber), a McRee's chassis and a Trijicon Ten Mile scope. They both consistently shot into 1/3 moa.

Great looking rifles 👍🏻. Seems like shilen or criterion is the way to go for savages prefits

Give "James" a call at Northland Shooters Supply for either one of those brand of barrels….and ANYTHING else you might need for Savage/Remage builds, for that matter. 👍

Thanks buddy I sure will

I've done a couple savages with x caliber barrels. 6.5 and 6mm creedmoor. I've been very impressed with them. The 6.5 is 26" I think savage varmint contour. Bedded it in a Boyd's pro varmint it shoots stupid good. Once you get the factory barrel off it's smooth sailing. Good luck!

Both of those look sweet. How do you like the shorter barrel 257 weatherby
