That sucks! I had a similar situation last year wit an A-max at about 500. Watched it hit, and watched get away. No blood!!
I received a Remington 700 ADL .30-06 for Christmas about 4 years ago, and since then mounted a Leupold VX-I scope on it, and hunted with it for 4 years without a morally acceptable shot showing itsself. I got interested in shooting more proficiently, and tossed around the idea of buying a new stock and having it bedded for a long time. This post put me over the top, I ordered the stock and had an older gentleman (friend of my grandfather) teach me to glass bed. I used Accraglas Gel by Brownells, his glass bedding of choice.
I created this account just to thank you for posting this, and making me take the plunge! I'm more excited about shooting than ever and am going tomorrow to see how she groups for me!
I copied just a little Trebark, thanks again!
Thank you sir. Lowered it down when I had the stock off. I'm very impressed with how crisp it breaks. I have a few questions I would like to ask about it when I start the new post, which location would be the appropriate place to post?
Trebark,
Did you buy the stock unfinished? I can't find them on the website or did you special order that?
