I just picked up this savage and don't know much about them. I'm looking for a good stock for a sporter contour barrel, and maybe some bottom metal. This will likely be a truck gun, so nothing going too crazy. Thanks!

I have a Ruger American Predator in 6.5 CM and will soon be getting a Boyd's laminated stock for it. (Classic version). I want a nicer stock for coyote and antelope hunting. The factory plastic stock goes back on for mule deer and elk B/C it's one pound lighter and I need that lightness at 8,000+ feet.

Boyd's Stocks are very well made and require only light bedding with Marine Tex or Bisonite to make them work well. Boyd's make a LOT of stock designs for Savage rifles.

BTW, your Savage Accu-Trigger is better than my Ruger adjustable trigger so I'll also get a Timney trigger for my RAP.
