Identify a marking on my Barrel ??

1st character looks like a GA Precision symbol. They used to have a t shirt with all of their symbols on it. The numbers may be the receiver serial number the barrel was chambered for.

Yes the 5945 is part of the serial #

Smiths frequently stamp an identifier and a serial number (theirs) on the bottom of a barrel (out of sight) to identify the work as being theirs. I know mine does.

GA Precision has each rifle builder select a stamp symbol which gets used on every build they make. This applies to full builds not rebarreling projects. If a rifle comes back to the shop for some reason, it goes directly to that builder for resolution.

I would say the first marking is a year code and the last four are the production number that is probably recorded by the activity that replaced the barrel.

Please read my response to the original question. It is as I stated and nothing else. I worked there for 10 years so I should know what it means.

Always wondered…what came first, Moon's nickname or his GA symbol? Not that it matters, was just curious.

Does it have a trigger? It looks like it has a trigger. Why the 20 MOA base with only a twenty power scope? I shot groups at 500 meters today. That is 8 MOA with my 28" barreled creedmore. I am not familiar with Seeking rings. Is that Seekins? Show me the groups?
