I'm aware of the VV powder burn rates.

Judging by the trend how the other powders stack up it looks like that would be the area they would be

singe base vs double base powders. VV single base are the 100 series so like N170 would be closer to retumbo

Phil, the heat index chart has some age on it.

If you are only hunting, verifying zero after load development, I would not worry about it. My 220 Swift was a varmint rifle when I was shooting the N550, and we shot a lot

I shoot N570 w/Berg.215 in a 300 Win and a 30 Nos. better accuracy and velo than anything else I have tried. My 300 Win has just over 1800 rounds through it and still shoots great. The 30 Nos has 420+ rounds and shoots great. When the barrels die they will get replaced.

Ive been using N550 in 308 for a couple years and have not noticed any difference between these and my varget loads. This barrel has just over 5500 rounds on it

i'm using 77.8grs H1000 right now with a 208LRHT at 3015. very tight ES.

what would you think the N570 would gain me in velocity? i worked up to this load, in several groups im yet to see a pressure sign.

100fps is my guess, 570 will scream in a Winnie with a full case

Everyone should stay away from N570. It eats barrels in about 50 shots. You should definitely find a different powder.

(Or, I love it, and it is awesome in my 7RM, and I don't want to compete with people for it )
