Cow elk hunt with 115 year old rifle

So cool, we seem to get all rapped up in modern rifles , optics ,and high B.C. bullets, I've got my great grandfather's model 1886 45-90. thinking next fall I'll wait for the late white tail season and head into a thicket, hunker down and wait for a buck.( back to basics ) Short Range Hunter !

You would be surprised at the lethality and range you can kill at, once you learn the trajectory of it. Nice old gun and cartridge.

30 plus years ago I called a coyote in to around 50 yds. The old 45-90 drained a extremely large amount of plasma and the result was DOA!
