180 Hammer Hunters 300 Win--which powder? RL26, Retumbo, H4350, H1000?

Hodgdon doesn't list Staball for the 300wm. I seems like a good spot in the burn rate. I think between H4831sc and H4350 one of these should give a great load. Rl26 could be very good too. I think you have it covered.

I touched 3300 with RE26 with 181HH in stock Sendero 300WM. Load data is in the sheet. I backed off to 3200 and shoots very well. I tried RE23 and about 60-70fps less if I recall correctly.

The 196HH is my go to in it and is perfect for 1:10 tw so if you want the "ultimate elk hammer" I would try it as well. I posted up this load as well. My settled accurate hunting load is at 3100fps so it carries down range nicely.
I think I sent you my group from your data. 80.5 grs. RL26 with 180 Hammer 3 shots one ragged hole and one just off that group. Didnt chrono. That was at buddy's range couple weeks ago. Went out to BLM a couple days ago. No pressure at 80.5 . Dropped down to 80.0 grs. 3339 fps. I forgot my shooting table ... Shot laying down in bed of truck from bipod. My heart beating, breathing etc. was magnified laying on chest and stomach. Couldn't hold still. Tried off a tripod. Little better. Groups not as good as before. Going back Tue. to buddy's cabin in Montana. Try groups and Chrono from bench to 500 yds. Also loaded some with H1000 and Retumbo. Maybe some RL23. I only have a pound and half left . Use for 124 Hammer in 6.5 PRC. Haven't seen anywhere for over a year. See RL19 and RL16 across street. Not paying their prices. $11.00 more than were I go. Don't use those two anyway !

I've had excellent accuracy and low ES and SD with 180 Hammer Hunters and 71g of H4831sc. I had so many great groups in the ladder I had a hard time choosing. My soft touch was 2.916 and my final seating depth was 2.890. So about .026 off the lands. Yours may vary.
I'm trying H4831 next. I have a fair amount of it. Did you Chrono it ?

Our go to in the 300 wm with the 180g Hammer Hunter has been rl23. With regular brass we see about 3150 fps on the top and with ADG, Gunwerks, or Peterson brass we see about 3300 fps.

I need to add that Hammers don't need speed to open up. They will function fully down to 1800 fps. This is where we stop testing. Hammers are capable of extra speed, so why not take it?
Ok. I'll dip into my RL23 to try...

I finally took the plunge and ordered some Hammer Hunters the other day. The load data thread has been helpful, and I chose the 180HH for my 300 Win Mag (Christensen Ridgeline 26" 1:10) due to the velocities that people were reporting. It looks like RL26 is the clear winner for velocities with that combination, with some guys pushing Wby/RUM speeds, but I've heard that RL26 can do some goofy things at temp. Being that it's 90+ degrees in MT right now, do I load with RL26 until I see pressure, back off a grain, and then assume that it will be safe at all temps?

Or do I stick with H1000, Retumbo, or even H4350?

Thanks for any insight you guys might have @ButterBean @GLTaylor @RockyMtnMT (<-assuming you're packing for your trip and not looking at LRH but tagged you anyways Steve)
180 gr bullets I'd try H4831SC. Or H1000.

For what it's worth, I got 3150 fps in my 300WM with 181HH with 77gr RL22. 26" Bartlein 1/10 twist.
Oh, and .25MOA at 400y.
