Any one have any starter load data for this with 6.5 stw? Would like to use h1000 if possible but not real picky it's just what I use with my Berger 140's

Has anyone shot the 160 out of a SAUM yet? If so, what are the details of the load and rifle? I'm hoping 3000 fps is very doable with H1000 and a 26" barrel.

I was running the 160's out of a saum at 2990 out of a 24" bbl. 61.5 Ramshot magnum was my load but it should easily achieved w a 26" tube and H1000. I'd start at 58 grains and work up.

I haven't shot it out of a SAUM, but out of my SS which is a wildcatted version of it. I got over 3100' with RL 33 with a 26" barrel. You MIGHT get 3000 with H1000?...Rich

Have you noticed if RL33 is temp sensitive or as stable as H1000, or any of the extreme powders?

Now, if only a guy could actually FIND Magnum around these parts.... One of my all time favorite powders right there. gun)

I haven't yet tested it in cool weather but only shot in warmer temps. I have heard both good and bad from others. My gut is that I was seeing some difference even in temps that were not too broad a range. I would really like to get my hands on some N570, or some of the new IMR 7757.....Rich
