HEY HAS ANYONE RUN THE 105GR BTHP MATCH IN 243 WIN? IVE GOT A NOTION TO TRY IT IN MY FIRST PRS SHOOT IN MY 243 RUNNING A :
26' BARTLIEN BARREL 1-8 TWIST
STILLERS TAC30 ACTION IN A KSG CHASSIS
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

I shoot quite a few of them through 3 different .243's. Each one liked a different load though. I have used H4350, IMR4350 and Hybrid 100. Hybrid I get the most velocity out of, but H4350 being the most consistent. IMR4350 varies quit a bit when the temps change. But, if I can hit the right temp range they are by far the most accurate.

My apologies, Hornady. i have a box of 500 that was given to me so seems a good place to start.

Run them. Should shoot fine.

I use H4350 in my 6CM w. 105 Hybrids @ 3090 now that my barrel is broken in. Can get them to 3200+ with a full load.

Try the H4831. A bit better temp stability over IMR.

They like a bit of jump. Try .015 to .020 off.

They shoot pretty well and they are not finicky in the least in my experience. I can't bring myself to sling Berger Hybrids at clay birds - the Hornady 105s do just fine.

Well played around with some IMR4350 today,
Loaded between 38-41 grs in 1/2 gr increments.
40gr was the winner. Not blistering fast but very accurate and solid data.
40gr IMR 4350

Out of about a 1/2 dozen powders, My 243 Win pulled together nicely with Norma MRP with 105 Berger hybrids at .035" off and 105 HVLDs at .007" off.

105 SMK with 42gr H4831 hammers at 1000 out of my F Class Rifle. More recently have been using Retumbo 48gr. Heavily compressed but shoots awesome.

I'm running the 115 DTAC's in mine on a 26in 8 twist. I've had great luck with H1000 and Retumbo with MV around 3000 to 3050

I'm running Starline .243 brass with BR2 primers with 46.5 gr H1000, 115 gr DTAC seated 0.040 off the lands. Gives me 3024 fps with SD of 4. Hope that helps
