What would be the best single stage press out there for your loading bench. Say loading 223 all the way up to the 338 edge. I'm talking no play, every time you pull the handle it seats a bullet the same as the last one.

What would you guys say is a good chronograph that will work on cloudy days or late in the day when you don't have direct sunlight? I have one that works good but I don't remember the model. It only works when the suns bright.

Thanks Wyo7200 for your help. This was my first ladder test, now I know I need to try some more. I just hope I can make that next node with out any problems. I'll have to go slow and look for the signs.

Yea that info would help. It's a Thompson Center Icon with a sporter barrel. I updated the data sheet with the other info.

I did the ladder test with 52gr SMK and Varget powder at 500 yards. It looks like I found two nodes. So which would you guys look at working with #3 was 3/8" and #8 was 1/2". The lower charge it a little tighter but #8 was a faster round. Not all the shots read on the chronograph, it got late...

Now that you've found the node I'd play with seating depth. Start on or just off the lands or the max to still get it in the magazine and go 3-4 thousand's in from there to a few thousand's in from the depth your shooting now and see what happens with say 3 shot groups. That's a good group...
