300WSM. Super accurate and easy to tune. One of the best in 1K bench rest comp. Doesn't burn a bunch of powder. For me, with a Berger 210VLD Hunting it is the most fun I can have out to 1500 on the range or in the field.

I leave the brass up in the die while I ready another piece for sizing. Usually 10+ seconds, I tell myself this helps with spring back......👽

Any feedback on the Valdada Recon G2 4.8-30 ? I have one on a 300WSM and it seems to be really well thought out. I am easy on equipment so I can't vouch for its ability to take a beating......Has this scope been through any sort of torture test someone could share with me......Just curious...
If you are looking to start with just the action and get it properly trued up then purchase a quality stock, get it bedded or chassis & have a new barrel chambered for the action and then the trigger.....You are looking at a good chunk of change. With the time it would take to get a high-quality...
This s a long thread and I have not read the whole thing.........SO, at the risk of repeating prior suggestions mine is to spend a whole lot of time learning to read wind & mirage through your scope. If you do this through your scope it will also help with your body being used to the shooting...
I use BR-4's all the time. I use a 21st Cent. primer seater and I have a gauge for measuring my primer seating depth. I seat BR-4's 8 to 9K deep......They ALL go bang.
