    hey mate was talking to the bloke I built the 50/30bmg with the other day and he confirmed my memory the barrel length was almost 38 3/4 after we crowned it. I no longer have any photos but it was sort of a bull pup configuration which kept the immense length of the barrel reasonable. The other bloke I built it with shot 2 water buffalo with it on a trip to the northern territory and with 220 grain projectiles they were pretty much dropped on the spot. he said something along the lines of like shooting a hare with a 22-250!! From memory it was in the vicinity of $15 per round to fire it, but farrk it was fun!!! The best break we put on it would see it set on bags and jump forwards 3 inches when it was fired, made recoil very tolerable but the guys either side of ya suffered BADLY. Would I do it again? Probably not totally impracticle and way expensive.
