I don't recall the barrel maker, and no he did not bed it. Its a factory barrel contour and I just bolted it back in place.

Had this Kimber rebarreled by Dallas. Just been using it as a high-power pig gun mostly. Its got some wear marks and minor scratches, see the barrel picture. Its a 10 twist, action is very smooth, trigger is great. Comes in at about 6 lbs. I've never done any load development on this shot...

FWIW, my wife shoots the 168 TTSX out of her 300WSM at 3,040 fps. She has taken a lot of animals with that combination up to and including several 300 lb boars, an 800 lb zebra, and a 900 lb kudu. All one shot kills, and most were pass through. I've just picked up an identical rifle to hers...

Love my 340 Wby! I've never felt like I needed more gun for anything, 225 TTSX at 2,975. That said, I've got a 33XC running 260 HH's at 3200. A very mild load and shoots fantastic! I had a couple 338/378's and both were awesome and quite accurate, just never shot any critters with them...
