I'm not familiar at all with Cooper, so what model should I be looking at? Can you post a link (or pics) of the one you have? Under 2" @ 500 yards definitely sounds like it should be on my "Get to know more about it" list! Thanks for the recommendation!

I should clarify that 'm looking at spending $2K-$3K TOTAL (rifle/glass/bipod/etc.), not just $2-3K on the gun. Sorry for the confusion.

Is the 22-250 an option??? After doing a bit more looking around, and back through this thread, I noticed the 22-250 only came up a couple times, but one of them was on one of the most wicked accurate box stock rifles a respected member here had read about. Is there something I'm missing...

Darrell, What model Savage do you have? Also, may I ask what scope you are running? It looks like the 22-250 could be a great choice as well. It does the distance, and is fairly cheap to shoot with match grade ammo. I will do some more research on this one! Thanks!
