Is it possible to form WSM Brass, out of the full size Ultra Mag Brass? I know the case head and web is slightly smaller on the Ultra Mag. I also know I will likely need a set of forming dies. I'm finding it harder and harder to find WSM brass and looking for options. I have lots of 300 Ultra...

The lead on your chamber is wrong. It should be 0.2328 allowing you to hang bullets way out there on the end of the case.

Yes that's who I contacted that said they would regrind them for me. I'll be using them going forward.

What's your recommendation? A 6.5 Creedmoor or a 6.5 PRC? One of my drugs is velocity. I love rifles/cartridges that produce 3100+ ft per second velocity with high ballistic coefficient bullets. Perhaps now is the time to reevaluate that goal.

I have heard about this, but never looked into it. I just never realized a switch barrel rifle could be a long range rifle with the needed accuracy. But I assume they are very accurate. Where do I go to find out about this? Any recommendations?

It's probably not an issue if you have a standard chamber as this step down is not that much. I lent my 243 out to my brother-in-law while I was overseas for a couple years, and he used to resize 308 down to 243, cusing the necks to be too tight without turning.
