Whats the cartridge you LOVE to HATE?

I'm not sure I hate any caliber. I do have fond memories of shooting a Remington pump action 30.06 a long time ago. The way it slapped me gently on the shoulder was so nice... It's the only rifle that I've given away (to a family member).

I absolutely despise AR's. I've been saying that since they hit the civilian market. I hate all 8 of the AR's that I built and own (including the two I gave (ahem transferred) to my sons when they got out of the USAF) and I'm going to hate the next two that I build. In fact, thanks to this thread, I think I'll buy a 6.5 Creedmoor barrel for the next one. I should really be able to hate that thing. Now that I've read this thread I hate my 7mm Rem Mag and .308. Stupid things...

OH and suppressors! I hate those too. I bought a couple of those things, it took a year to get permission to take possession, and you know what? Those things won't fire a round! They don't have a chamber. They don't have a barrel. No firing pin, no stock. NOTHING. It's a good thing too. They are so short you might "put your eye out kid". It's the silliest looking firearm / handgun I've ever seen. It's like they aren't even a firearm and have no business being regulated or something.

Good quality scopes. Those things suck. Ok that goes too far. Scopes are good...

I didn't know I had so much hate in me. In keeping with the times "It's not my fault". It's all you social influencers fault. I was perfectly normal-ish until I read this thread. Gun lives... err calibers matter! Stop the hate! Blah-t-blah!

No, I'm afraid that you are all mistaken:

akdad: The S-10 isn't a "little light" for elk; it's a WHOLE LOT LIGHT for elk.

bulltinkle: I did indeed follow all your guidance and the little S-10 still didn't bring the elk home .... because it was totaled!

QuietTexan: I've had four S-10s over the years and none of them have been "something small trying to do big boy work" they've just been my daily commuter vehicles. If I had thought I'd be bagging an elk that early morning I'd have been driving my Ford Powerstroke, my Chevy 4400 flat bed or better yet my '41 International K-7 5 ton dump truck. But I was just trying to get to the airport to catch an early morning flight.
I went from s series to 1/2 ton as the mid size always seemed to be maintenance hogs.
I throttled a deer in S.D. last year with my heavy 1/2 Chevy (2018) WHILE pulling my camper down the interstate. I hit the deer so hard it ended up where it started, only a few yards down the road, but a whole lot more dead. There was damage to the truck, but we continued the vacation and got the camper home.

Lefty, you hit a deer with a 1/2 ton Chevy and continued your vacation…. must've been a "very, very" small deer! 😂 Or….it was a very short vacation! 🤔 Sorry I couldn't resist the Chevy remark! memtb

I picked up a new creedmoor today
