APA RTG DBM VS Hawkins Hunter DBM

I am leaning toward purchasing the APA RTG DBM for my next build. I have a Hawkins Hunter on one of my other rifles, but I'm not a huge fan of the magazine release button. The APA seems more functional. I know both are M5 inlet, but the question is: does the stock need to be inlet differently for one or the other? From comparing photos the front lug on the APA appears to be deeper. I currently have an order in for a Manners and called out the Hawkins M5 inlet. Any insight is appreciated.
