I think he means slower as in lower velocity not burn rate. H4831 has been about 100 fps slower than R 26. I have some R23 but have been reluctant to try it as I have not seen any on shelves in a while.
I found it to get me about 50 fps more than 4831sc.

Take one step back to go to H4350 it's also very temp stable. It's faster than H4831. The other is I would use H4831SC than H4831. It flows better.
That for sure, H4350 is faster, and more stable too. I've been stopped in completing my reload shack in Montana for now. I believe that by late May I'll get back and finish it. To many fuction on my plate this last year. I think I will done with. it's making me travel across the country. If I am luck I will 2 other rifles built by then too.
I been stocking up on components while waiting or work on the shack. It's has in way taken almost the same time to get items for the rifle builts too.

So...what was the correction with R26...
Benchrest guys would say a consistent "well sent" flyer is a little hot; or it could be the edge of a node. They would either reduce charge a smidge or increase the case capacity by seating farther out in .002 increments.
