Before i finish this stock refinish up. Asking your opinion

Original birch stock on remington 788 and stripped off and clear coated the original wood stock... i liked its look but it had a clear coat finish reaction do something while drying and had a slight imperfection.. so this was how i decided to fix it.... yay or nay... wipe with stripper and keep it natural. Reclear and leave the blonde color... or leave the accents and have a unique piece for nill investment.

If you like the looks of the stock, strip it again and use a non reactive finish (Hand rubbed oil finish).
You can apply it until you get the sheen you want and have a very durable finish on it.

Most of the High end custom rifles have this type of finish.
