Wyoming Elk Points help

Currently I have 4 points. Curious what everyone's thoughts are….planning an elk hunt for '25 so not sure 4 points is enough to draw anything in Wyoming? What units do I even stand a chance with drawing? Or should I hold out and try a different state while accumulating some more points. Just looking for advice! Thanks guys

I believe Game and Fish has this years drawing odds posted on their website so you can check what it took this year.

This is a novice question but figured I would ask. What drives up PP numbers for certain areas? Is it successful harvest percentage?Huntability? Access? Elk Herd? Bull Size?

If you don't have 5 points now, your probably never going to draw anything but a random tag.

Many area's have tags available in random draw, so there's always a chance.
Plus look at cow tags if you just want to hunt elk.

I have hunted several of the top draw units in the state and have never seen bigger bulls than I do in the general units
Get a general tag and go hunt
Western WY has way too many elk and they are not hard to find

I was stuck chasing the better units and was always 1 or 2 points behind. We finally cashed in on a general unit tag with 9 pts . My cousin killed a 370" bull and I missed a 330" bull. We saw numerous bulls over 320". There are great bulls to be found in general tag area's.
