Ok so truth be told, I'm no gunsmith but I'm fairly handy. With that being said, I had a rifle built a while back on a Winchester crf action, '06 head diameter, and a wyatt's box installed to allow magazine fed vld's. I had a little trouble with ejection and tore it apart. The smith did the alteration to the ejector but it looks pretty rough. I bought a new ejector because I don't want to ship it several states away back to the smith and plan on working it over myself. Wyatt's is very vague on their directions for Winchester installs and just show a picture of the altered ejector. My question is this: does the ejector just need to be ground shorter or does it need cut, a section taken out with some reshaping and tig welded back together? Thanks for any replies. I'm capable of doing the tig work myself if need be.
