Not interested in "parts" configurations of AR's or "heavy" tactical rifles.

Don't want to part w/ brass until rifle is sold. Going to Gunbroker soon.

Back up for weekend w/ Sako and HS Precision rifles added as trade considerations. Like Coopers, also.

Back up for holiday weekend w/ Remington, Sako, CZ factory rifles added as trade options.
Recoil is similar, little bit more than my Gre-'Tan 300 win mag. I built this rifle to be used, out west, for elk and mule deer hunting. I made it weigh similar to a factory Remington rifle, in 300 ultra mag caliber. W/out scope, rifle weighs under 8 lbs. I was going to mount a Z6 Swarovski, that should make the whole rig weigh ~10 lbs ,perfect hunting weight, handling, etc. I don't like heavy rifles, but don't like "ultra lights, either'. This should feel and handle like a Sako or remington magnum rifle, w/ a 26" barrel. I have new brass, Forster dies, shellholder, etc. that I would let go @ my cost, from 2 years, ago. All are new and unused, except for 7 pieces of brass (5 are loaded). This was # 2 run on the reamer from Greg Tannel. My buddy has # 1 run. We both shoot exactly same loads. It was easy to work out w/ 2 different powders. I used his dies. I have a custom sizing die, by Greg Tannel, that goes w/ this rifle( $125), that bumps shoulder back .001" and sizes the neck. I've used 7 pieces of brass, loading numerous times, and primer pockets are still tight. Also, max velocity is achieved w/ a 26" barrel. You have to have @ least 28" barrel w/ an ultramag and primer pockets are loose after 1-2 loadings. .300 Norma is, definitely, a superior, accurate, reloader-friendly caliber.
