Received this in a trade from a good friend. He is in the military and was stationed in Utah in 2005. He bought this rifle to elk hunt. He sighted in the rifle and was deployed soon after. When he returned home he was transferred back home to the local Air Force Base. He swears he put less than a box of ammo through it and I have no reason to doubt him. He said it hurt too bad to shoot! It has been in the original box under his bed since he returned home. This is the hard to find long action large shank rifle. The serial begins with G, it has the appropriate step down at the barrel nut, and it has the appropriate 5/8" barrel nut. There is no blue missing from the muzzle (in the close up of the muzzle, the rifle was cleaned and oiled and lint stuck to the barrel). There is a wear spot on the stock where the rifle was in the original box and on top of an allen wrench. The rifle comes with the original box and paperwork, original rifle hang tag, the standard trigger guard lock that comes with all guns, and a Leupold scope mount and rings. I tried to take as many pictures as I could to show this rifle's condition. If there is something else you would like a picture of let me know. Perfect rifle to hunt with, or to use as a donor action for a 338 caliber like the 338 edge or 338 RUM. I tossed around the idea of using it for a 338 RUM build, but I really can't justify the expense just to shoot hogs. I already have a 458 Socom for that!
