I had one built and love it. It is heavy too. You do know Weatherby did not chamber this round in a factory rifle correct? So you may want to include other actions in your search to improve your odds of finding one.

I personally wouldn't want a light 338LM.
12 -14 lbs is great weight for them....
Have you looked at 338 RUM or similar ? Darn near same performance and can be had in lighter weights in factory rifle.

Well my apologies then. I have collected Weatherby's for years and owned everything from a .224 to a 460 and I didn't know this.

Hope I didn't offend you. I just have seen one on GunBroker and checked the weatherby Web site where it is listed and had a distributer call Weatherby and they won't have them in production till Oct. Wasn't trying to be a know it all. NEVER EVEN OWNED A WEATHERBY MYSELF. Been a long bow hunter for 38 yrs. just shoulder problems put me back to rifle and pistol hunting and will have to break out the old reloading equipment after seeing ammo prices. decided to order a Christensen custom I guess to get the weight down.

Two 10's, No I was not offended at all. I was disappointed I didn't know.
In fact I went to reasearching it myself. I didn't have a clue. I built mine 3 years ago , but I sure didn't know they were going to do this. I just got in and I want to do more searching on this. I have only seen it in a TRR so far but need to look more.
