I am looking for a birthday present for my sons 13th birthday. Have settled on getting him a nice deer rifle and have been looking at a Browning Abolt 308. Was wondering if anyone had one or something close to that they wanted to sell, knowing it would go to a good lifetime home! I am open to other rifles, but don't trust the newer 700s and don't want to give him a junk rifle. He shoots my 7 mag and likes it, but I don't want to get him a heavy magnum as his personal rifle. Thanks and open to suggestions. Oh, one reason I am leaking towards 308 is I have a ton of reloading stuff for that round, which keeps cost down, plus, 308 can be used on so many different things.
