...should be able to find a new Rem 700 syn for around $400 or maybe take a look at the Tikkas... they are reported to be a pretty good accurate "bargain" rifle... hope this helps... try a serch on www.gunsamerica.com

BD: How many rounds have gone through that barrel? What's the rate of twist?

Bud: Got about 800 rounds down the tube; so still a lot of life left. I already have a .308 and was going to punch this one to .300 SAUM but I bought a Kimber and now need to pay for it. I will sell the barreled action separately if desired. Oh, the barrel twist is 1-10.
