In the thread about high speed chase, some are for it and some not.

How 'bout turning into the wrong lane. Most drivers I see turn into the wrong lane. Then in a couple blocks they turn on the signal and go into the lane they should have been in the first place.

I remember one I turned right into the correct lane, put my blinker on turned into the left lane. I looked into my mirror and there's a guy already behind me giving me the finger shaking his fist. I'm wondering where did you come then I realize he was the guy that was behind me at the signal light! He went another block, put his right blinker on and turned into the correct lane he should have been in and turned right onto the freeway.

How many here disregard the lane law?

Why is it the "wrong" lane?

The driving manual teaches to turn into the nearest lane. Often drivers turn into the third lane if there is a three lane one way street. It is silly for them to travel a couple blocks, put on their blinker and go back to the "correct" lane and then turn off the street.

Recently I had to go onto the shoulder to prevent an accident. There were two turn lanes going onto a two lane road. The clown in the left lane could not stay in the correct lane. The driver behind him looked and just shook his head.

Drive by the laws in the state you are in--- when I got my license the laws were different than the state I live in now.....what do the laws say in your state? Does a driver turning left have the right of way when the light is green ? ( not a green arrow, just a green light)

Do people know what the "yield" sign means anymore?

They keep changing the laws on us now, you are supposed to turn into the lane that doesn't impede traffic, so if the closest lane has a car coming up you turn into the next lane.

I love how they say ignorance of the law is no excuse but they don't publish the laws or give any public service announcements on them.

And yes jumping over to the left lane because it's a learned behavior and not thinking about what you're doing doesn't make any sense.

I understand the law the same as Rich, but I may not be up to date if they have changed the law. And sorry but I do break the law quite often. I try to assess the situation depending upon the lane I need to be in. I've been cut off and dang near run into so many times by drivers trying to save at least 1 second. I'll probably get a ticket some day and I'm sure I won't be happy. Drive safe everyone.

I particularly like it when someone uses opposite direction turn lane as their own unique turn lane thus driving wrong direction into traffic. Then scream at you for using the lane correctly. I have to dodge head on's constantly! 🤬😡
Yes I hate it too when they use the left turn lane as a merge right.

I love it when I have turn left and I can pull up right in front of them and they look at you like you're doing wrong. lol
