Would some please explain the difference in these Bergers and what they are for, targets and/or hunting ...

6.5mm 140 gr Match BT THICK BC = 0.593 PN = 264140T-THICK

6.5mm 140 gr Match VLD BC = 0.640 PN = 264140V

6.5mm 140 gr Match VLD THICK BC = 0.640 PN = 264140V

Thanks,

The Match BT THICK is not quite as aggressive in the BC department, and has a slightly thicker jacket.

The VLD THICK is the same way, slightly thicker jacket to withstand higher velocities.

The bottom two are the same... look at the part number. Don't know where the "thick" came from on the bottom bullet description, but there's no way the two can be different if the part number is indeed the same... how would we/they tell them appart?

The thick jacketed VLD should have a -THICK at the end of the part number. The non-VLD bullets are supposed to be less finicky to load and may work better in factory/non-match chambers. Berger and many others say the VLD is a hunting bullet.

The 6.5mm 140 VLD Thick has this part number: 264140V-THICK.

the regular 6.5mm 140 VLD has the same part number except no word thick at the end.

The one on the top is clearly bigger than the other two , jeesh you guys can't see the forest through the trees

Thats good that they are making thicker jackets bullet maybe now we can hot rod them a bit more

Berger is coming out with many of the BT bullets that are not as "seating depth" sensitive as the VLD models normally are. ie quicker/easier to tune but might not give the absolute gilt edge accuracy. However many are finding just as accurate.

Many guys are having very good luck with them.
