Worthless search option

I've been trying to use the search feature here but it always comes up empty even though I'm staring at a thread that should be found. What a waste, surely some web operator can refine this.

This option on all forums set up like this sucks.

The Google Custom Search on the top right corner has served me well in my site searches.

Both the site search and the Google search functions work fine for me. Google, as you might expect, offers greater versatility but the forum search option gets me in the ball park.

I was searching the classifieds for a 223, but 223 isn't enough information apparently. At that point I had already got caught in a vicious cycle of 0 results even after adding Tikka. A little back and forth between forums and class. I was able to search for tikka 223, but I'd really rather just look for 223's in general.

Just searched .223 and got over 7000 hits in the Google search for this forum 469 hits with classified as part of the search. It's always worked very well as long as I give it something to work with.

morning, weird I have always had very good luck with this search mode.

changing a persons wording makes different changes. very good search mode.

this is not the great savior. check on all sites.lightbulb
