I've owned a bunch of these rifles over the years in every caliber they made, they have all shot extremely well. McMillan stocks, Wilson barrels, made in the custom shop I believe. I traded for this one and I don't have much history with it. The previous owner had the original barrel cut down to just over 20 inches from the face of the receiver. I was gonna use it for a truck gun but I have too many short barreled bolt actions now. I'm gonna let this one go. Judging by the floor plate and the bolt handle, it hasn't been shot a lot, the bolt shows some use but not a lot. I have a hundred yard range out my front door and shot four hornady 55 grain factory loads, they grouped just just over a half inch. I'm sure with a pet load this rifle will get under .5 without much trouble. The crown looks like it was done professionally. Since the barrel has been cut I'm gonna reduce this rifle, it would make a great all purpose varmint rifle or fun gun. The picatinny rail goes with the rifle, it's a NF. The twist is 1 in 9.
