Winchester 32-40

Is the rifle an original one ?
What loads are you using and what performance do you get out of it ?

Keep in mind this forum is LONG RANGE HUNTING, not antique firearms. The 32-40 would not be considered a long range caliber today.

Thanks for the reply.
I couldnt really find a place to put this subject other than here.
There is no antique/obsolete section ?
I know that these rifles are still in use today albeit by a small group of shooters.

I hope you did not think I came off as a "jerk" on my previous reply, I certainly did not intend to. I doubt there will be anyone on this forum that would have info on that caliber, but the best place for such a question would be in the "general discussion" section.

The reason I chose this site was becuase of it's large member base.
I guess I expected too much . It seems that maybe the majority of members are younger people that dont have an affilliation for older guns.
These old clunkers as you are probably aware were the foundation of todays wonderful lever actions.
The 32-40 was originaly made for target shooting so I presumed that the 'long range shooting' forum was a good place to start. Were you aware of it's history ?
