Here's a cool one for your collection!

Winchester 1894 classic 24 inch octagonal barrel with a saddle ring and nice figure wood. It is a 1967 Manufactured date. I have shot 7 rds of 150 gr Speer Hotcor bullets loaded with IMR3031 (standard load I use in all my 30-30's) and was able to keep them all in a 6" ring off hand standing at 100 yds. That long heavy barrel makes it shoot flat and hold steady.

To fund some other projects, I must let it go, this was my wall hanger for a little while and was oiled and wiped down once a month. Bluing is excellent. Wood has some very minor blemishes as expected from a gun made 60 years ago. The saddle ring I took off to prevent the bluing on it or the reciever from being marred. It is bagged and included.

Price for LRH Members is $1100 shipped. Insurance is on the buyer and will be extra and is recommended. Payment by Zelle or USPS Money Order or Cashiers check.

Receiver is not blued but black-chromed from the factory. Unlike blue, it can chip off, so be careful with it.

That wood is a whole lot nicer than any I've seen before.

Replacement stock ? Finish looks ???? Didn't the originals have checkered hi grade wood ?
Not to my knowledge, talked to a Winchester collector at a show who said these 1960's guns tended to have clearer looking finishes. This is post 64 hence the price and lack if checkering. It's too bad, cause the one you are referring to is a few thousand more in this condition.

Yeah, if that were a few years older I would have run to Pennsylvania for it... Beautiful rifle none the less.

Believe me, it would've been gone 100 times by now. Had a lot of local people looking at this one, I listed it a few hundred under appraisal but I think with vacation season upon us people are hesitant.
