I just recently purchased an older (70's) model 70 in 25.06. The gun has not been fired and is in great shape. I took it apart to clean it really well. I would really like to keep the wood stock off of it for hunting.
It is the classic sporter model. My question is; if I buy a hs precision stock is there anything else I need to do or be aware of? Is it really as easy as unbolting the old and bolting the action into the new one?
