It's probably in the rules. It's quite a bit easier to post a pic here than the Hide so linking to what would be a competitors site because you didn't have the energy to write it out could be considered in bad taste. You don't see Burger King linking to McDonalds for a picture of a cheeseburger. I suppose, had you considered this in the first place, it wouldn't have been necessary for this site owner to exercise his option to protect his property. Publicly taking the owner to task on his own site because he didn't allow you to post a free ad by linking to competitors site demonstrates a fundamental lack of manners and a disability to view circumstances from a perspective other than your own. I guess when everything's about me, it's difficult to be respectful of others.

No we just have something against self centered A - you know what and people who try to get free advertising on someone's site of a competitors site. DUH!
And to Mike 338 +1 and hell yes I am 100% with you on your post!
I actually like both sites.
I've met some really good people from both sites.
They have been very helpful to me with reloading, gunsmithing
and shooting questions, not to mention locating hard to find products.
I've also been able to help some members with the same issues..
There's obviously a lot of overlap in the 2 disciplines.
They are far from mutually exclusive.
Many of the same posters provide technical advice
and conduct sales on both sites and they have proven
to bean invaluable asset. So I am simply saying thanks.
I've met some really good people from both sites.
They have been very helpful to me with reloading, gunsmithing
and shooting questions, not to mention locating hard to find products.
I've also been able to help some members with the same issues..
