Well, I am a transplant. Moved from Hawaii to here in GA 27 years ago. I had a log cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains over looking Carters Lake and currently located in the Country back roads of Social Circle, GA. You have to hear the story behind the town's name of Social Circle. GA has everything from Squirrels to big Black Bear. Also some Quail hunting but very sparce. GA was once noted to be the "Bird Dog Capital of the World". If you ever ran Field Trials off of Horseback anywhere in the World back in the 70s & 80s the dream was to Run your Bird Dogs in Georgia USA. English Pointers & English Pointers were the BEST. Prices for a good Pup to an adult were from $10k to $100s of thousands. (in the 80s price) I had a Pup that we won the North East Region Puppy of the Year back in the 80s - Ramblin Gambler! Most of all the Quail hunting here in the SE is gone except for the few that can afford to Hunt on the Plantations. Now talking of the SE United States. You have the best of everything. Deer, Bear, Turkey, Hogs, Yotes small game , Bird Hunting and then there is FISHING!!! some of the best Fresh Water and then Coastal Salt Water in the WORLD!!!! NC, SC, FL, GA. AL - These five States have the best of every hunting and fishing opportunities. PLUS most of us are Conservatives and we believe in "GOD, FAMILY, COUNTY". A Bible on every Nightstand and a Firearm in every room and vehicle!
