My hunting partner passed away a couple years ago, and I inherited a bit of his taxidermy collection. I actually had the hunt booked but was unable to go, so he took my place, and harvested the buck in the pictures. Unfortunately, my dogs will not allow it in the house, and since they were there first, it needs to go. This is an absolute monster non typical whitetail taken in Canada four or five years ago. It was taken on a high fence ranch, so its score isn't really relevant, but for those who want to know, it's somewhere north of 280 B&C. Taxidermy is excellent, and the black walnut pedestal is furniture quality. If interested PM me and I can provide more pics and or video. I'm in the north west, so I could deliver or meet part way depending on distance. Otherwise I'll need to get a shipping quote and split the shipping with the buyer. My hunting partner paid $20k to shoot this deer, so I'm looking for $3500 or trade value on high end optics/ rifles in the same amount.

Have you tried contacting a local hunting store like Basspro, cabelas, sportsman's or some outdoor themed bar/restaurant? I know you can fill out a form online for Cabelas. I bet you might have better success doing that

Even though that's a really cool mount, most people with deep enough pockets (not saying you are over asking) will be the type that want to harvest their own trophy. I get a hunt to harvest something to this caliber would be much more but that's just my opinion.

I'm happy to keep the mount if an individual doesn't want it. It was a long shot anyone would, being a display more than a trophy since someone else harvested it.

Sorry for your loss. One thing to keep in mind, depending on where it goes, meaning state or country. Most states require a permit to buy/sell wildlife. In most areas that permit is free and is easy to obtain. Just make sure you do your homework so it does not become a burden for you.
