Hello,
I have been shooting for a few years and would like to try my aim at longer range targets. I have a new Winchester 1886 in 45-70 and a 1999 Winchester 1895 in 405WCF. I have only shot up to 200yds so far, but we have one range that stretches out to 650yds and I would like to try that. The 86 has Lyman 66 receiver sight with a globe front and the 95 has a Lyman 21 with stock post out front. I load my own cartridges so I can get pretty consistent with rounds going down range.
The 86 is quite alright shooting from a bench, but I've heard the 95 can be a little hard on the shoulder.
