Out to 700 I wouldn't shy away from going light. My 28 nosler flat out likes the 142HH loafing along at a mild 3500 FPS/H1000 MPBR over 400yds. They get a little squirrelly past 800, but up to there, they shoot very consistent.
Also shooting the 177 out of 28 nos. (3150)But not nearly as fast as lancetkenyon. They perform great. I am considering trying the lighter ones though as steve recommends them. Also going to try n570 this year. Im guessing thats what lance is using.
Keep us posted on your build. Sounds like a screamer!
So far I have a reamer and a brake and some brass. I have a meet this morning with the realtor who has a buyer for my three acres. Lord willing I will be ordering the rest of the parts very soon.
Depending on the range You want to work to or what weight feels best. With the 8" twist you can run any of them. I personally like the screaming 143g Hammer Hunter. In your cartridge it will be tough to beat out to about 900y.
For what it's worth, we have several times shown that Absolutes show no appreciable gain over regular Hammers once you approach - and certainly when you exceed 100 grs powder capacity.
In my 7 RUM I get almost 3700 with 131 Hammer Hunters. Haven't shot the 143s. 131s shoot too well and Kill. My load is 103 ish grains of 570.
