What shell holder for 300 Norma Mag

I'm trying to find the correct shell holder for a 300 Norma Mag. I currently use an RCBS #48 that is supposed to be for 338 Norma/338 Lapua but the 300 Norma case flops around a lot in it. Is there another one I should try?

I believe it is #35 Redding or #43 Hornady, #37 RCBS, #8 Lee, and #17 Lyman but it is best to get confirmation directly from the shell holder manufacturer.

The shell holder cross reference chart I have shows #14 for RCBS for the .338 LM.

Disregard! I cross-referenced the chart I was using directly with what RCBS is showing for the .338 LM is indeed #48. Getting rid of it, too much erroneous information.

My 338 nm or Lapua stamp 338nm fit my rcbs 48 fine

#48 maybe the right one but the cases have a lot of play in then, to the point that I've ruined case mouths from hitting the bottom of the die due to misalignment.

Mike, have you tried RCBS #4? It is the one used for all 300H&H magnums

#4 is for standard mag bolt face. 300 Norma uses a 338 Lapua bolt face.

I thought about that afterwards, for the 338 Lapua I use RCBS #48 and no slack. Maybe if you use #48, it is defective

I have always used #48 for my 338LM including with Lapua brass so I am confused as to why the RCBS site has it listed under #14.
