What scope is this?

Just got this scope from my dad. He's had it since at least '95. I was told that it was from the Czech Republic and has Zeiss lenses.

Dad had it on his .308 until a few years ago when I bought him a new vortex viper. This scope is clear as a bell and everything functions properly. All of the adjustments are in mils too.

Anybody know who made this scope? What you see in the pic are the only markings on it except a four or five digit serial number on the bottom of the tube. Anybody know what the extra adjustments on the elevation turret are? It has the same ones on the windage turret. I'm anxious to see what y'all have to say!

Looks like an old IOR/Valdada. Are there no markings on it other than 4x32?

Should be a serial number somewhere...

I have a couple of older S&B scopes that have a very similar turret. The screw with the dot shows were your turret is compared to the amount of revolutions your scope has.

Hand Skills - There is a 5 digit serial number on the bottom of the tube but that's the only other markings besides what's in the pictures above. One of my uncles said he thought it was an older IOR Valdada but I can't find anything on the internet that looks like it. Any idea when this may have been produced?

S&B are the only scope maker I have seen that have the reticle position indicator on the turret. No it would not be a good idea to turn that little screw. If you twist the outside of the turret towards the S (clockwise) you should see the slot in the screw head towards the M which indicates the middle of the reticle housing. S&B made scopes for other Companies and that may be why there is no name marked on it.

Pretty sure it's IOR - they had a similar feature back in the day. Even if they copied S&B, the characters are different.

Thanks y'all, I'm excited about the scope because it is so clear and seems to be built well. Struggling to find 26mm rings though. I'm afraid I'll have to buy 30's with reducing bushings or spend $100+ to get 26mm's. What do y'all think?

Sorry I missed your question - my guess is mid-80's, but I am not sure. You could always give them a call with the serial number and ask!

26mm rings can be tricky to find, maybe give Burris a call and see if their Signature Zee rings are compatible?

other way would be to take 1" rings and machine bore them larger to the 26mm that you need

26mm inserts work well - i have them for a Lisenfeld scope. Also Apel QD swing off mounts work fine for both 1 inch and 26mm - but they are pricey!

It could be a Doctor Optics too, I know they had a contract making those scopes for the Military over there along with IOR/Valdada, I sold quite a few surplus ones back in the day, they were nice scopes.

Talley make their steel rings in 26mm.
