I am looking for a scope for my sons 243. This will be for pig and deer hunting as well as targets out to 500. These are the 3 I am looking at
Weaver 3-15x50 tactical
Burris 3-12x50 e1 reticle
Steiner 4-16x50
Zeiss conquest
I definitely want to keep my purchase under a grand. I really like the steiners feel. The Burris has not been in production for quite sometime so finding one may be difficult. I like what I've read about the weaver but unfortunately, they are not on the shelf to inspect.
Simple ranging reticle
Requirements:
Decent glass (better than vx111)
Very forgiving eye box
Illumination would be great for late night pig hunting
