I like the 2021 gmc drivers side mirror. Perfect height and very stable
Any preference for one over the other?I use either a Schmedium Gamechanger or the Hunters Wedge from LRO. Both are very solid rests.
I use a Bald Eagle sling shot bench rest on the front and a Bald Eagle rear bag. Wiebads for field useCurious what rear rest everyone is using for each application. I assume that this is one of those scenarios where there really is not a right answer.
I am considering buying a Protektor for load development and the Hunters Wedge with the Git Lite for hunting. Does anyone do anything similar to this? I feel like the extra weight of the Protektor and the solid base will make it better off of the bench compared to the Wedge.
The Hunters Wedge seems pricey, but I don't mind paying for a great product that can make my shots in the field better.
Do you have the lite fill in the Wedge or the standard?I find myself using the Wedge more lately with angled stocks. It's design lets the stock rest in it better. The gamechanger is heavier and a little more solid but doesn't hold it's shape as well. I'm used to it from PRS though. If you have a chassis or flat bottom stock, it works better.
I went with the standard fill for range use. After using it, I would go with the lite fill to be able to carry it while hunting out west. You can also get the lite fill in the Gamechanger. I'm glad I could muddy up the decision for you.Do you have the lite fill in the Wedge or the standard?
Stay away from the lead sled, they are brutal for your opticI haven't done any load developement yet as I am new to reloading but I was considering a Caldwell Lead Sled DFT 2 for the range, is that a poor idea compared to those here?
For the bench I use a leather Rabbit Ear Rear shooting rest filled with sand. For the field I carry Phoenix shooting bags products like the Tony Bag of Donuts.Curious what rear rest everyone is using for each application.
