I want to try a new powder, and wondered if there was one way or another that I should lean, or if it's just personal preference. The powders in question are H322, H335, and Benchmark. :rolleyes:

I shoot .308 Win., .22-250 Rem., .220 Swift, .222 Rem., and .30-06 Sprg. And eventually, I'll have a 6NormaBr.

I would give the "Extreme" powders from Hodgon the first try,because they are probably more temperature stable than most others.If you can't get the accuracy you are looking for from one of them,then I would probably try one of the Alliant powders next.That would be my approach.

I use and have had great luck with.
30-06 Sprg - 308 Win = Varget with 165/168gr bullet
22-250 Rem == H380 55gr bullet
300 winchester mag == H4831sc with165/168gr bullets and H1000 with 200/210gr bullets
243 win== H1000 with 115gr bullets
280 rem == H414 with 160gr bullets

bowhunthard,
I looked through Hodgdon's website and BenchMark is listed under all "your" calibers, except the .220 Swift. It wouldn't be hard to figure out a load for it though.
H335 is also listed for all the cal's mentioned but only one listing for the .220 Swift and that's for the 40gn bullet.
My life seems to be much more complicated than that. I like two or three powders for each caliber and then a few that will overlap. JohnnyK.

I got most of my stuff shooting very good with Varget and IMR 4198. There is always a better group that another powder can produce though lol. It's kind of like a search for the holy grail. :D
