What changed with Mcmillan stock quality?

Ok the title is a little "click baitey" but in all seriousness, I just received a new stock from McMillan for an ongoing project and the quality is amazing. I've owned 8 or 9 different McMillan stocks over the years and this one is by far the best overall quality. I was worried at one point that when Kelly sold the company there would be corners cut along the way to pursue a profit but this stock's quality is better than any I've owned in the past.

Other molded in stocks had slight fiberglass "hints" in the edges and swirls/imperfections etc. this swirly mcwoody has no blems and every part fits like a glove.

Just so I'm not cheerleading too hard for McMillan stocks, I didn't actually receive the exact stock I intended to order. The final stock was supposed to be an adjustable game warden and this stock is not adjustable. Part of it is my fault, some is on bad communication, some is on the complexity in ordering process. Their options have also changed a bit since the last stock I ordered, such as they no longer offer their orange/red old school butt pads and PT&G inlets aren't an option unless you send it to them for fitting.

Anyway, thought someone might find the info interesting. Cheers!

I know nhenry.

I'm gonna try my hand at fitting one myself at some point. No joke it was almost a deal breaker for me and part of the reason my order may have gotten screwed up due to me wanting to reconsider my order altogether.
