What Barrel Twist??

Planning on building a 280 Remingtion, gonna shoot 160-180 gr hunting bullets. What twist would be the best for this size projectile?

1:9 will do.

anything between a 8 and 9 twist would suit you, I have used 9 twist mostly and never had any problems, both on long range BR rifles and hunting rifles. The .280 improved is a great way to go, good luck! Ron Tilley
