Hi guy's… new here; just thought I might chime in on this post.
I have used the 65gr Sierra SPT game king on Coyotes and Targets and found them to work perfectly.
In 223 Rem; my load is;
65gr. SPT, Win case, Powder Hodgdon H-335 {25.0gr} Primer CCI #41 {for the gas guns} and Rem 71/2 for bolts, The vel's run at 2950 fps from the AR' a little better in the bolt rifles… it tracks right out with the M855 ammo from an AR15/M4
In 22.250 I used Sierra 60gr HP Varmint in the following load; Win case, Powder IMR-4064 {34.0grs} Primer CCI BR-2, vel's "were spot on"… 3400 fps from my Weatherby 26" barrel Varmintmaster. I changed the bullets going too the 65gr. SPT and never looked back. This is a lethal load for Yotes as was the ,223 Rem load above'.., an at some pretty decent ranges. It broke "bone" and "shoulders" both at short and long range'.., spreading Yote clock work all over the high plains desert of Eastern Washington.
There was nothing wrong with the 60gr HP, the 65gr just pushed it out there another 150 to 200 yards.
